WBC Japan vs US

 Today I will share the fun memory that I had recently with you. I am a big fun of the baseball and I have been watching it since childhood. Although I have not played it as a club team or something in the past, I like to play it just for fun. However, I much prefer to watch it.

Last month, there was a worldwide baseball tournament called WBC and both Japan and US kept winning until the final. So, there was a special match between them as a final!

US scored first with a home run! However, then Japan turned the table and it was 3-1. In the top of the 8th inning, American Player hit a home run to make it 3-2. I got nervous and my heart was beating. With the score still 3-2, Japan faced the American batter with two outs in the 9th inning. Here was a story. The batter was Mike Trout, who is one of the best players in the world. The pitcher was Shohei Ohtani. He is also one of the best players and he is good at both throwing and hitting. And these two guys are teammates of Los Angeles Angels!! Finally, Ohtani struck out the side, and Japan won the game! It was an amazing game and I had a lot of fun!

    Wow! Kanamu, this is so cool! I had no idea that Japan and the US played against each other in baseball. I have also never heard of the WBC. Do you know if many people watch these games and how often do they play? Thanks for giving me some new information!

Chapter1 of the textbook

I have my doubts about the statement that 67% of the world’s population uses mobile devices. I felt doubtful because this percentage was very high. There are a lot of children and older people all over the world. Basically, I think too young people and too old people tend not to use their phone. In addition to this, there are many poor people including those who live below the poverty line. Given these two things, I would like to say that the actual percentage should be lower than the statement in the textbook. That statement might exclude such kinds of people though. By the way, I looked at the screen time of my smartphone. I spent 6 hours for the use of phone on daily average last week. While the average worldwide is 2 hours and 29 min, mine was 3 hours 5 min per day. I often tend to spend more time on social media such as Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and so on.
