First impression of ONU

I am an exchange student from Japan for the whole year and I’ve been here for 5 and half months.

I will state the first impressions of ONU below as my first blog.

I came to campus from Detroit Metro Airport, and I was so excited about the new life in the US. This was because I had never been to outside of Japan. Everything was new for me from the environment that most people speak English to the view of the city that I had never experienced!

On my way, however, I came to my senses because I wasn’t able to see anything special at all. All what I saw were roads and cars (lol)

Nevertheless, once arriving on campus, I got excited again. The campus was filled with nature. That made us comfortable. When I look up at the sky, we can see a wonderful view of the stars.

Although we have a lot of good things in ONU, we have a big problem. ONU is located in a sooooo rural area!!!!! There are only several places to eat outside of the campus, and few entertainments. There is no public transportation and no UBER here in Ada! I was so surprised when I firstly came here such a small village. But this also means we can focus on the study because there are few interruptions.

Therefore, I am going to study hard until going back to Japan!

Fin!
