Spring Break1

 

Today I would like to share the wonderful experiences of spring break with you. I was so excited to go to west coast as a trip because I had never been there. We made an international trip, which means I had a trip with my friends from Finland, Spain and Japan.

First, we went to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, it was raining at first day but, we had a lot of places to visit and lot of things to do. For instance, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Walk of Fame and so on. I really liked Beverly Hills because every house was incredibly huge, clean and unique! The walking in Beverly Hills was like a dream and I wish I would live there in the future.

Then, we moved to San Francisco by driving! One of my friends didn’t take the closest way because he hoped to drive along the coast! Eventually, it took about 7 hours, but I was so happy because I was able to see wonderful views which I had never experienced! Since I didn’t have an international driver license, I couldn’t drive and that made me take a rest and felt thankful for the drivers at the same time.

I will state about after going to San Francisco on the next blog because I still want to write a lot of things with which I would like to share!

Chapter 11

  Speaking of social media which provide you with shot videos, most people would imagine TikTok. I think the popularity of TikTok enabled another social media to introduce short videos. However, TikTok is still one of the most popular media for short videos all over the world. I do not watch TikTok recently, but I used to get into TikTok when I was a high school student. It is a good tool because they showed me videos based on my preference. Also, I barely get bored of watching videos because every video is short. Another thing that I like about TikTok is we can know the trends. It can be music, fashion, worldwide and so on. Because lots of celebrities use TikTok, they have a lot of power for trends as influencers. After reading the textbook, I got surprised the distribution of TikTok users in the United States. Chapter1 of the textbook

I have my doubts about the statement that 67% of the world’s population uses mobile devices. I felt doubtful because this percentage was very high. There are a lot of children and older people all over the world. Basically, I think too young people and too old people tend not to use their phone. In addition to this, there are many poor people including those who live below the poverty line. Given these two things, I would like to say that the actual percentage should be lower than the statement in the textbook. That statement might exclude such kinds of people though. By the way, I looked at the screen time of my smartphone. I spent 6 hours for the use of phone on daily average last week. While the average worldwide is 2 hours and 29 min, mine was 3 hours 5 min per day. I often tend to spend more time on social media such as Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and so on.
