Social Media Marketing Workshop
First of all, I would like to say thank you to Dr.
Aggie. Thank you for letting me join the wonderful workshop. It was a great
opportunity to learn from actual experts of social media.
To be honest, at first, I participated in that event
simply because it was mandatory to join. I was like “I don’t want to be stuck
such a long time”. However, my mind completely changed after the workshop. How
interesting it was! Now I will write what I learned below.
I joined a lecture of Podcast at a session block 1.
What is the number 1 skill required for a successful Podcast? The answer is
that having a passion for the topic and keeping posting. 90 percent of
Podcasters quit before episode 3. Nothing happens if you quit recording and
posting. Something good might happen if you try to take action. This goes for
everything, not just Podcast. The speaker’s word made me motivated to moving
into action.
Another lecture that I liked was “How to use a small
budget to make a big impact”. As we learned in the class before, social media
is one of the cheapest advertisements. Thus, you can affect the target a lot
even the budget is limited. To begin with, of course, you have to set an
ultimate goal. Then, you will outline your sales funnel and pick your best
frame. After that, you will choose one platform because this is the situation
with the small budget. You have to decide who you need to reach later, but this
is basically the hardest part. Finally, you have to focus on quality creative.
I learned we had right steps to make dreams come true.
For live-tweet assignment, it was fun. I rarely tweet,
so it was kind of new to me. I felt it was so easy to post and do other things
such as retweeting or replying.
As I wrote above, I learned a lot. Actually, I wanted
to listen more presentations. Hopefully this experience would help my future
study.
