I like snapchat. Before coming to the US, I only had heard the word snapchat, and nobody around me used that app in Japan. On the other hand, however, snapchat is the most common way to communicate with my friends now here in the US.

One of the unique characteristics of snapchat is that messages disappear in 24 hours. I was confused and frustrated such kind of system at first because something important can be deleted automatically. But now I’ve got used to that and rather like it because we can save the storage and we can save the chat forever if needed.

In terms of marketing, I feel snapchat is really sensitive to the current trends. For example, during the soccer world cup, there were a lot of face filters. In addition to this, the ads of the snapchat is funny. I think personally there’s not so much ads in snapchat, they are attractive and I like it.

I would like to share this app with a lot of people after going back to Japan.

  1. 100% agree about snap being on it with current trends, because after all that's where a lot of trends are born! I love that the app knows its market, and allows for advertisers to tap into that youthful industry!
